Curatorial StatementWhenever our gaze settles, the generative processes awaken, regardless of whether they emerge from the cracks and gaps, the unseen, and the obscured. Dispersed particles intricately weave textures, while algorithms orchestrate movement and acceleration. The continuous strikes are about to acquire a rhythm, with different sequences and vibrations spiraling upward. Along the winding path, we will eventually encounter our scattered memories, which are destined to be reassembled in another dimension.
Nook Nook Cranny refers to the unnoticed corners and uneven surfaces of the canvas. It embodies the creators' ongoing exploration of subtle characteristics across different media and format as they engage in endless interactions with space. The exhibition is dispersed throughout various locations within the SCM building—corridor corners, stairwell landings, balconies and theatres! These seemingly marginalised “non-exhibition” spaces not only carry the artists’ imaginations but also bring new experiments: when art extends from a white cube into the “cracks,” can meaning reemerge from fragments?
Nearly sixty emerging artists from MFACM will transform a confined space into a dynamic exhibition that presents varied interpretations of the world. Through mediums such as installation, video, performance, and interactive games, they will engage with themes of material investigation, emotional expression, reflections on conflict, and profound explorations of visual and auditory dimensions. Here, Nook Nook Cranny resembles a tunnel leading to unknown worlds, where new dimensions will continuously be opened up.
小孔與縫隙，不可見與被遮蔽，當我們的注意力定格，生成便開始。彌散的粒子組成紋理的編織，算法推動運動與加速度。持續的撞擊即將擁有節奏，不同的序列反覆震盪。在螺旋的小徑中，我們終將與破碎的記憶不斷相遇。
《窿窿罅罅》指向不平整的角落和不被注意的平面，它是創作者們在不同媒介中不斷探索微妙起伏，同時也是與空間進行無窮聯動。是次展覽潛入 SCM 所在建築中的各種空間──走廊轉角、樓梯夾層、陽台或者劇院！這些看似被迫邊緣化的“非展場”，承載著藝術家對空間的想像，也帶來了新的試驗：當創作從白色空間延展入“裂縫”，能否以碎片重組意義？
來自 MFACM 的近六十位青年藝術家將以裝置、影像、表演、遊戲等形式來呈現對世界的不同理解，包括對材料的感知，對情緒的表達，對戰爭的反思，以及對視覺、聲音的深入探索……在這裡，《窿窿罅罅》更像是通往未知世界的隧道，新的維度將會不斷被打開。
